When does the Kick Off start?

This year, the Kick Off starts on August 25th, which is Monday of week 35.

Can I find the schedule for the Kick Off somewhere?

The Kick Off schedule is kept secret until the Kick Off begins. You will receive more information during your introduction. If you want to be prepared, we recommend downloading the app hitract, our membership portal, event calendar, and ticket platform.

How long is the Kick Off?

The Kick Off lasts for 10 days, with a recovery break on Sunday, August 31st.

Does the Kick Off cost anything?

Participation in the Kick Off is completely free, but some events require you to buy a ticket, such as the "sittning" and the festival. You will also have the opportunity to purchase an overall in your school’s color, which you’ll wear throughout your student life.

Do I have to attend the Kick Off?

Participating in the Kick Off is completely voluntary, but it’s during the Kick-Off that many people find their social circle. If it’s not your thing, there’s also a laid-back Kick Off held at the library, where the pace is slower and more relaxed, offering a comfortable environment to meet new friends. The laid back Kick Off is held the 26th, 27th and 28th of August at 3PM-4PM.

What is a fadder?

A fadder is a student who volunteers to help welcome you to Jönköping in the best possible way. You can easily recognize them by their pink or green shirts.

Will I be mixed with students from other schools during the Kick Off?

The basic principle is that each school has its own separate Kick Off. So if, for example, you’re going to study at JTH, your Kick Off will be with others who are also starting at JTH. However, some days are joint events, so you’ll also get to meet students from other schools. Your Kick Off team will consist only of new students from your school.

What is a Kick Off team?

When you arrive at JU, you’ll be assigned to a Kick Off team. This group will be the ones you complete challenges with, compete with, and hang out with during the Kick Off. Each team has several fadders assigned to it who will be with you the entire time.
