Become a Buddy

On this page you can apply to become a Buddy. Follow the instructions below and fill the form.

Application

1. Fill in the form External link, opens in new window. and state whether you have any specific requests regarding the origin, gender etc.
2. The Student Union will do its best but cannot guarantee that all requirements are met. We do not know, for example, how many students from a specific country will arrive in Jönköping and also sign up.
3. The Student Union will email your contact information to your international students as the semester starts, about one week before they arrive in Jönköping. Depending on whether it is fall or spring semester, this occurs in early August or January. Contact your student as soon as possible, in case they have any questions before their arrival.
4. The Student Union will invite you and all other Buddies to a mingle where you can meet your international student. After that, it is up to you to hang out as much as you wish.
5. Add: make sure to read the buddy program pamphlet for more ideas of activities that you and your buddy can take part in.
