Are you a current student at Jönköping University and want to become a Buddy for an international student arriving to Jönköping? Maybe you remember how you felt coming to a totally different country with a new language? Now you have the chance to help a fellow student so that she/ he won´t feel the same and help them with the transition to Jönköping.
Being a Buddy to a student won't take a lot of your time. You will be a helping hand to the new students, showing them around campus and Jönköping as well as telling her/ him about the student life. The Integration and Activity Committee (IAC) will organize few activities for the buddies throughout the semester.
JU buddies are valuable for our international students, since buddies can make a huge difference with answering the new students’ questions or telling them about life in JU, and Jönköping, even before the students’ arrival.
By becoming a buddy you will receive study abroad points as well as a certificate of participation.
The Culture Exchange for families and Students Program aims to provide international students with a deeper insight and understanding of the Swedish culture and lifestyle.
By participating in the program, the family and the student will be able to get to know each other and exchange experiences and cultures. The family will provide the student with a social network, not accommodation.
