Accommodation for the autumn semester

The autumn semester begins on the 17th August . As an international student you’re guaranteed accommodation when you arrive, but there are also possibilities for you to find a place on your own. 

The University guarantees accommodation for all international students, provided that they have applied for an accommodation correctly and announced their arrival in time. Read more about the guaranteed accommodationon the University’s website. External link.

If you for some reason don’t want any of the accommodations that the University provide you’re free to look for a room/apartment on your own. Below you find some tips on where to look. 

Where can I find vacant apartments?

• Studbo: Jönköping University together with the municipality have a market place online for student accommodations, studbo.se. External link. Here you can find all vacant student apartments in Jönköping. The rule is first come first served so sign up and check your account several times a week. There is no queue system.
• Ads on the Student Union website: At the page "Vacant apartments" accommodation ads are posted. Most of the ads are in Swedish so if you don't understand contact the person in the ad.
