Vice President

Toni Johansson was elected as Vice President during Jönköping Student Union´s Annual Meeting on the 22nd of April. He will start his mandate in July. Would you like to get to know him better or in fact become his colleague? Don’t miss out on his interview!

How does it feel to be the next Vice President?

It feels great! It is a great honor to have the students trust to manage the Student Union in its work.

What is your background?

I have grown up in Jönköping and I’m 26 years old. Right now I’m in my fourth semester at ground school teacher specialized in youth recreation center. Earlier I have worked in the restaurant business where I also had some responsibilities regarding the staff.

What made you apply for the position?

I have been involved in one of the social committees and it has given me so much! Not only the energy and motivation to conduct my studies, but also a great fellowship with other students as well as an insight to the work of the Student Union. Now I want to take the next step forward and focus 100% on the work at the Student Union.

What expectations do you have on the upcoming year?

I want to continue to build on the work of the present presidium and continue to develop the time of studies for all students. I also think that an experience like this will bring me usable knowledge in my future work and studies.

Anything you want to send out to those who are thinking about applying for any of the vacant positions at the Student Union?

It will be a very fun year with lots of new encounters and experiences. I’m looking forward to start working with you!

This goes for all vacant positions, President, the Board, the Nomination Committee or Operation Controller. The election will be held on the 24th of may at 17.00-20.00 at the Student Union’s Extra Annual Meeting.
