Voting process was wrongly performed

Due to a wrongly performed voting process, the Student Union unfortunately must announce that the result from our last Board meeting is invalid.

The Board gathered Tuesday last week, for one of its regular board meetings. One of the points on the agenda was the election of a new project leader. During Wednesday the Student Union announced on social medias and the website that a new project leader had been elected.

The presidium and regulators went through the meeting protocol, which is the notes from the board meeting, this Friday and realised the voting process had been performed in the wrong way as the board went against our own praxis in relation to elections of persons.

Following this, the Presidium summoned the board for an extra board meeting for today, Monday 11th of November. On this meeting it was determined that the voting process was wrongly performed. The following consequence is that the result from Tusedays´ meeting is invalid and as a result a new voting must be held. A new voting was held today and was performed correctly with the result that the Student Union do not have a new project leader and we must open for by-elections.

The Boards deeply regrets that this situation has occurred. Despite the positive in that our control system in form of regulators (who always reads our protocols an extra time) worked, this situation should never be able to occur. The presidium will present a plan for the board on how we can make sure this never happens again.
