Mapping the Issues for Students in Need of a Residence Permit - Enabling Higher Education in Sweden

The process of applying for, getting, or prolonging a Swedish residence permit is not famous for its simplicity. Cases have been brought up by the media, and have also been discussed by local Higher Education Institutions and national organisations working with Higher Education. The student movement has tried to better the situation for international students, and the Swedish Migration Agency is familiar with the troubles that exist.

The Swedish National Union of Students’, together with The Association of Swedish Higher Education, would like the system to be changed. Swedish Migration Agency, nor the Higher Education Institutions can do more to better the process without legislative changes. In order for it to happen, a steppingstone is collecting your stories!

The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to fill in and the result will be used, if the participant agrees, in a booklet that will be presented to stakeholders as a part of our, SFS and SUHF:s, future work to change the system. All data will be treated anonymously.

By clicking here you will find the survey. External link, opens in new window.

The survey will be available until the 31st of January 2017.
