1st day at work

Today is quite a special day at the Student Union. Because on the 1st of July the mandate period starts for our new President, Vice President, Generals etc. One of them is Hristo Balabanov, President of the Student Union. Do you want to get to know him a bit better? Then, check out the interview below!

We´ll start with the classical question, how does it feel?

It feels amazing! It will be a year full of new adventures and hard work and I am happy that I got the trust of the students to manage the great organization of the Student Union.

Where do you study?

I am an international student at JIBS. I am studying my second year at the International Management program in the field of Business Administration.

What made you apply for the position?

Involvement in different committees under the Student Union taught me how important the social life for your studies is and it gave me different skills that I wouldn’t be able to learn in the classroom. Now I want to give even more focus on protecting the interests of the students and make their life in Jönköping unforgettable.

Have you been involved in the Student Union or its associations before?

Yes, I was part of the IAC and ESN which organized different events for the students and work for the integration and socialization of students. I also represented the students from my accommodation when it comes to accommodation issues in the Accommodation- and Campus committee.
