Throughout Kick Off, a multitude of Fadders and volunteers, trained in leadership and first aid, work to ensure that all new students feel safe and included in all organized activities.

IQ-certified events

Akademien and the Kick Off are, as in previous years, IQ-certified, which is proof that Jönköping Student Union, together with Jönköping University, is working to reduce alcohol consumption among students.

Q&A

Below, you'll find useful information for new students before the start of the semester.

Questions about accommodation:

The Student Union doesn't own any student apartments and, therefore, cannot assist individual students in finding accommodation. We work with the issue at a political level and can only provide tips and advice to students regarding housing in Jönköping. Please visit our housing guide for more information.

For questions regarding JU's student housing, please contact JU's Housing Office (this applies to international students who have applied for an apartment through the housing guarantee).

Questions about membership:

As a student, you can pay your membership fee only when you are enrolled in your courses. You can register one week before the course starts. You pay your membership fee during the first two weeks.

Questions about student life:

There are numerous associations and project groups you can join on campus. You can find the Student Union's associations here on our website. If you don't find the association for you, you have the opportunity to start a new one. If this is of interest, please contact the Student Union's association coordinator at associations@js.ju.se from the start of the semester.

Questions about admission and roll call:

For questions about admission, contact JU's Admissions Office, and for questions about roll call, please contact JU's Service Center, not to be confused with the Union's Student Service.
