Jönköping Student Union will offer events at Akademien, which follows the covid-19 restrictions

Jönköping Student Union wants to increase the study social life at campus in a secure way entirely adapted to the covid-19 restrictions. As a result of this will Akademien be open and offer ”sittningar”. These events will naturally be adapted to all covid-19 restrictions and arranged in a close dialogue together with the police and the department at the Jönköping municipality named ”Miljö och Hälsa”.

The study social life is highly important for all students at JU and the covid-19 adapted events at Akademien will contribute to this. It will be an alternative to all private gatherings and parties where students most likely cannot keep a safe distance to each other.

In regards to ”sittningar” and similar arrangements at Akademien has Jönköping Student Union drastically reduced the number of guests allowed in order for all students to be able to keep a safe distance between each other. All food and beverages will be consumed by the table, with a safe distance to one and other. As of now will Akademien not be open for any night club events. The arrangements for now will, as mentioned, concern dinners with performances and music. Jönköping Student Union will continue to inform about the restrictions at campus and in all JSU´s as well as JU´s venues and event areas, such as students should stay at home if they have any symptoms.

With a changeable legislation and the possibility for every region in Sweden to take their own decisions, will the Student Union continuously look over their operation and perform evaluations in connection to every event.
