Get to know the JSU Board

The Student Union Board, is represented by students from all over campus. Their task is to discuss student related questions and take decisions that will affect the entire campus. Do you want to join their team? Apply latest April 6.

What do you do?

When you become a board member you become part of the second biggest decision-making body of the association. What you do is to make sure that the association is moving into the right direction. You are involved in different discussions and decision that can impact all the students at Jönköping University.

Best part of being a Board member?

The best moments of the board meetings are when you see how much you and your colleagues have achieved. There’s nothing better than seeing all students on campus happy and knowing that you were part of the process that got them there. You also get to be part of a fantastic group with driven students who want to make an impact.

How´s the workload?

The workload varies from semester to semester, depending on the topics discussed and the projects that the students put in your hands. Usually the board meets once per month, except in the cases where more meetings are necessary.

What do you gain from this position?

Apart from the amazing people that you will meet, the position helps you grow both individually and professionally. You gain knowledge not only on how the university works but, as well, knowledge about work environment and choices of your future career.

Which personal qualities have you developed?

As a person you will definitely get more organized. Furthermore, the position is very appropriate for students that want to have a future career in a management field.
