WELCOME TO STUDENT LIFE AT JU!

Congratulations on your admission, and a warm welcome to Jönköping University!

Whether you're moving here from the other side of the world or already know the city well, you're about to begin an exciting journey filled with new experiences, friendships, and opportunities. Below you'll find some useful information to help you prepare before the semester begins.

Kick off 2026

Kick Off is the start of your student journey and the perfect opportunity to get to know both the campus and your fellow students. During the first two weeks, you'll be able to take part in a variety of activities, social events, and meeting places where you can make new friends and settle into student life.

For more information about Kick Off, please see our Kick Off FAQ Opens in new window.

KICK OFF TEAM AND FADDERS

When you arrive at JU in August, you'll quickly notice that there are plenty of students ready to help you settle in. Throughout Kick Off, you'll meet both Fadders and members of our Kick Off Team – students who were once new themselves and are now here to give you the best possible start to your student life.

Kick Off Team plans and organizes all Kick Off activities together with the Student Union. They are present throughout the whole Kick Off period to answer questions, assist during events, and make sure everything runs smoothly.

Your Fadders will guide you through your first weeks on campus. They will help you discover student life, find your way around campus and Jönköping, and answer any questions you may have along the way.

To create a safe and welcoming environment, both the Kick Off Team and Fadders receive training in areas such as equality and inclusion, as well as first aid. This means there will always be someone nearby if you need support or simply have a question.

In other words – you don't need to have everything figured out from day one. We're here to help!
