Are you interested in getting involved in the Student Union? We are now opening a By-election for the positions that were not filled during the annual meeting.

OPEN POSITIONS:

Board members - 2 open positions

As a board member, your job is to be the voice of the students in the decisions the board is responsible for. This means that you are expected to participate in activities, events, and other means to keep in touch with your fellow students to later represent their opinions. You must also stay updated on what is happening within JSU as an organization, as the board is responsible for overseeing the development of the Student Union. Among other things, you will gain experience in how to manage and develop an organization at a strategic level.

Operational controllers - 2 open positions

The Operations Controllers are responsible for ensuring that the work carried out by the board follows JSU's statutes and other governing documents. This position's main task is to observe and act if necessary. You will gain insight into how the Student Union functions and have the chance to gain experience in organizational development and strategic work. Note that the Operational Controllers do not have voting rights within the JSU board.

How do i apply?

1. You submit your application by sending your CV and motivational letter to president@js.ju.se, no later than May 24th 
2. The Nominations Committee will contact you for an interview. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis and any candidate who applied before the given deadline has the opportunity to be interviewed.
3. The Nominations Committee will contact your references.
4. You will be invited to present yourself, for a maximum of 5 minutes, at the By Election on June 1st. Time and location will be provided during the recruitment process. After the presentation, the board may ask additional questions. 

The board will review all applications, listen to the candidates, and then decide considering the Nominations Committee's recommendation.

You can also apply on the spot. In that case, you will not be interviewed by the Nominations Committee.
