JSU Nomination Committee

The Nomination Committee consist of a team of five students. Together they interview all the candidates for the positions at JSU, such as the Project Leader and the President. Does it sound interesting? Until April 6 you can apply to be a part of their team.

What do you do?

As a part of the Nomination Committee, we are responsible for interviewing and suggesting candidates for the various roles of the Student Union such as the President, Project Leader, Board members etc. The Nomination Committee consists of one student from each school at JU, as well as a member appointed by the JSU Board.

What knowledge have you gained from this experience?

The people that applies for the various roles all come from different schools and background, but the common denominator is that they all wish to have an impact on the student life here at JU. It is nice to see so many students, regardless of their background, wanting to develop the incredible student atmosphere in Jönköping. With that in mind, it is important to stay openminded and really evaluate what the candidates wish to bring to the table at JSU.

In what way can you implement your knowledge into future work?

You get first hand practice in conducting interviews and how organizations operate. Bear in mind that JU with its global atmosphere means that you will get to meet people from all over the world, so the experience from actually working in this diverse environment can be invaluable in future work.

The best part of being in the Nomination Committee?

It is incredibly fun to work with fellow students from the other parts of the school. We cannot stress it enough – this is one funny experience!
