Open position, Integration Coordinator of Jönköping Student Union

Up until November 5th you have the chance to apply to become the next Integration Coordinator of Jönköping Student Union. It is a substitute position between December 2017 and December 2018.

The organization

 Jönköping Student Union is a nonprofit association with around 8 000 members. The association works on a broad basis with focus on education quality and student life in Jönköping University. The organization has an annual turnover of about SEK 18 million and has 12 employed and 7 full time remunerated students. Besides this, there are a large number of students involved on a voluntary basis.

Jönköping Student Union is now looking for a driven and independent Integration Coordinator who also works as project responsible and president of the Integration and Activity Committee (IAC).

Responsibilities

 As Integration Coordinator for Jönköping Student Union’s international operations you are the president of the international committee IAC. The focus of this committee is the international students and their integration to Swedish society, municipality and the university. Further on, as Integration Coordinator you are responsible for the external contact with the International Relations Office of Jönköping University and all integration work organized by IAC. This is mainly through arranging cultural events, trips and other activities such as contact programs. You coordinate these events with help from student volunteers. An important part of the work is to develop the organization and keep adapting it to the members’ needs and demands.

As Integration Coordinator you also work as a support to other employees and remunerated at the Student Union in the organizations’ efforts with internationalization. As it is a small workplace, other tasks in the office might occur.

Required qualifications

  • University education with studies abroad or other long term abroad experiences+ good communication skills+ good writing skills
  • Good at creating networks and keeping professional contacts
  • Experience or education in leading projects
  • Very good knowledge of English, both speaking and writing

Valued

  • Previous student at Jönköping University+ good knowledge of Adobe CS (mainly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Familiar with the work of Jönköping Student Union

Start: per agreement

Working hours: Full time, substitute from 2017-12-01-2018-12-31, work during evenings and weekends may apply

Salary: Monthly payment according to collective agreement
