Finally, we can now present a new opportunity for students at JU. We are looking for curious students who wants to be given the chance to affect the Student Union as well as the student´s life in Jönköping. Are you one of them? Perfect! Then you should apply for the Board of Jönköping Student Union!
The Presidium of Jönköping Student Union welcomes you to the Board!
When you become a Board member at the Student Union you are given tools to affect and evolve the Student Union and student´s life in Jönköping, you will meet lots of new people (for example our Presidium who are displayed in the picture above) as well as get awesome knowledge and important experiences to put in your CV.
Except from that, being a Board member is a very highly respected position where you have some responsibility towards the members. Before every meeting, which is approximately once a month, you will be given an agenda with documents which you have to go through before the meeting. In addition, you are given the opportunity to affect the agenda and add new matters to discuss/ questions etc.
So, you now have the perfect opportunity to affect, learn new things, get to know what is happening at the Student Union, get to know new people and much more. All you have to do is send in your CV and cover letter to valberedningen@js.ju.se. Deadline 5th of October.
As a Board member you are either a represent of your faculty school, an external Board member or an alumni. Your main task is to represent the students' opinions in different aspects of the Union´s work. In the Board you work closely with the Presidium and in accordance to the Union´s by-laws, which are decided during the Annual Meeting. Furthermore you are going to participate in the preparations of the Annual Meeting as well as develop decisions regarding elections that are not regulated in the Union´s by-laws. The board has meetings every third to fourth week in the evenings.
