Alongside the studies, there are a number of associations that cooperate with the Student Union. The range is wide and hopefully you will find one that suits you.

JSIF is the sports association that provides different kinds of sport to the students. At the moment we provide football, innebandy, basket, volleyboll och badminton.

Datorsektionen

 

 

 

 

DatorSektionen is a computer club at Jönköping University. Our prime objective is to provide an arena for discussion and experimentation with computer systems and network technologies not available as course curriculum at the University. We provide a number of services, among which can be mentioned development environments for Unix, web hosting, BBS-systems, and technical support for our members. We are located in the bottom floor of “Studenternas Hus”, where we have a server and meeting rooms. We regulary arrange LAN partys, linux courses for beguinners and other fun nerdy stuff.

You’re very welcome to drop by any time and have a chat or look at our equipment!

Society of International Affairs is a politically and religiously independent association with the purpose of spreading knowledge, increasing awareness and initiating debate about international affairs. Westcoast är västkustens nation i Jönköping och vill vara en samlingsplats för de som känner lite extra för västkusten. Vi vill med vår nation sprida glädje och den sinnesstämning som bara västkusten kan göra. Vi arrangerar sittningar och aktiviteter i sann västkustanda och tycker gemenskap, saltvatten och glädje är ledorden för dessa evenemang. Ett axplock av vad som arrangeras är räkfrossa, after-ski sittning och midsommarsittning.

 Radio K

 

 

 

 

Radio K has about 40 members from all four schools at the university. We broadcast every Wednesday at 18-20 via Jönköping local radio and the remainder through our webstream. Our primary audience is students in Jönköping, but we also reach Vättervågs Radio listeners via local radio. Via web radio, we can reach all students, including students who are out on their semester abroad, we can give a little bit of Jönköping University. We have listeners in from Mexico to London, we have a partnership with Student television, which means that we now also seen in local television two to three times per semester.

Student television is a fraternity for you who wants to know what it’s like to make television.  Would you like to be the host, sound technician, editor, cameramen ore technical director are you more than welcome to join us. No prerequisites needed. Student television is located at School of education and communication every Monday between 17:00 – 19:00 in room HB118.

BLÄCK is a study-social society at the University of Jönköping for the students at the school who are interested in expressing themselves through writing. The purpose of the society is to serve as a platform for discussions around the members’ own written texts. The society also strives to spread inspiration among its members, and also to help the members develop their written language. This is accomplished mainly through discussions and various writing exercises, such as relay-writing.

The members of BLÄCK meet once a week to discuss their writings in an informal and casual environment.

JISA is a non-profit organization open to all students who are keen to know more about Indian culture and tradition. The association and its members are committed to organize activities and events helpful to promote Indian culture, to help Indian students, to preserve the rich cultural heritage of India and to act as a platform for the people interested in India.
The organization assists all the group members in their academic and social activities by arranging gatherings where unique opportunities are provided to interact with all other members. All Indian students and Non Resident Indian Students can join JISA and share their views.

Christian Union is a Christian student organization at Jönköping University. The association is connected to the national organization Credo. We want the students to gain knowledge and opportunity to reflect on a variety of areas will also be given the opportunity to reflect on the Christian message.
